Filmmakers! Please join us for our Thursday, May 27th workflow mixer, to be held THIS MONTH at AUTODESK in Waltham. This is a beautiful, green facility with PLENTY of free parking that is immediately accessible off of RT. 128. And this month, it's BOSFCPUG Member appreciation Month: FREE Admission! See a new workflow that begins in Adobe Story and ends in Encore. See some fantastic new Photoshop and Aftereffects tools. This will be one of the first public exhibitions of CS5 Production Premium. Graham Sharp of AV3 Software will show off one of the most talked about new applications which made its debut at the recent NAB, "get." "get" is a phonetic search application that works in conjunction with FCP. Graham will demonstrate how users can quickly find content by spoken word and then export content directly into FCP - ready to edit. ABOUT COLIN SMITH
As Senior Solutions Engineer DMO with more than 13 years
of experience at Adobe, Colin travels across North America evangelizing
Adobe software to individuals, corporations and professional
associations. Colin is a certified Adobe expert in Acrobat and Creative
Suite.He is a frequent speaker at Adobe’s customer seminars, providing tutorials for business communicators, graphic designers, print professionals and video and audio producers and editors. Colin is also a much sought after media spokesperson for Adobe and appears regularly on television and radio stations in major cities in Canada, including CP24 in Toronto, A-Channel in Ottawa and CKNW in Vancouver.
Colin also works closely with law enforcement agencies to leverage Photoshop and other Adobe technologies to fight crime. An avid music composer, video producer and photographer, Colin expresses his artistic voice through multiple media: music recordings, web sites and digital photography and video.

ABOUT JAY IGNASZEWSKI
Jay came East after wandering off the honor farm at the Shirley Temple
Black Home for the Cinematically Bewildered in Palm Springs. Having
worked in the Film Industry for over 25 years on the West Coast, Jay
came East seeking four seasons and the perfect ear of white corn. He
has worked with George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, David Lynch and Mel
Brooks, to name a few. His skill set includes editing (Emmy for
co-editing the pilot for Twin Peaks), visual effects (producer VFX for
Eraser, tests for Matrix and What Dreams May Come), sound (location and
post - One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Black Stallion), camera
(Panavision, Arriflex, Éclair, B&H) and he makes a mean Bolognese.
Jay also teaches production courses at two local universities, sharing
his vast reservoir of hearsay and misinformation with the upcoming
generation of image-makers. Hoping to steer these impressionable youths
to a better life path such as animal husbandry or fly tying. Jay now is
seeking a crisp, brilliant sauvignon blanc to go with the corn.
